Status Quo was born out of frustration*

*because you deserve more than what big wine is giving you. It's time for a revolution.

Adam didn’t set out to start a fight

—but when the truth tasted *that* sweet, he couldn’t keep quiet.

After decades in the wine world, he’d seen the corners cut, the additives masked, and the sugary deception passed off as “dry.”

The revolution started when he realized you could drink thirty-two bottles of his wine and still consume less sugar than a single bottle of a mass-market label.

That’s not a preference. That’s a problem. And he wasn't afraid to say it.

Adam has always believed that wine should taste like where it’s from, not like what was added later.

"Status Quo is a return back to an old way of making wine. It's truly a full revolution."

The Partnership

Adam Lee and Matt Iaconis are comrades fighting against corporate chemistry.

Matt brings a sharpened palate and a fresh, acid-forward lens to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. His style is unapologetically bright. Clean fruit. Less oak. No fluff.

While some winemakers chase broad, soft profiles that “play well” on the market, Matt leans into wines that challenge expectations and reset the senses.
